October 31, 2008 - In anticipation for the release of the PlayStation exclusive title, Resistance 2, Insomniac Games will be partnering with the PlayStation Store in San Francisco's Westfield Metreon Shopping Center in a 1 night only event. Beginning at 12:01AM (PST) on November 4, the PlayStation Store will begin selling the highly-anticipated title as a standalone, and also will make available a special Resistance 2 Collector's Edition at a discounted price while supplies last. Fans who arrive early will have the opportunity to meet members of Insomniac Games, including Ted Price, President and CEO, as well as receive cool, free giveaways, and get their picture taken and placed on the cover of Resistance 2. The Metreon will allow attendees to begin lining up on Monday, November 3 to be some of the first to purchase the title.
Attendees at this exclusive launch event will receive a "2008 cents" election discount off the Resistance 2 Collector's Edition. The Insomniac team will be available to sign copies of the Collector's Edition which includes a Chimera Hybrid action figure created by DC Unlimited, a hard cover Resistance 2 art book, an in-game HVAP Wraith multiplayer skin, and a bonus Blu-Ray disk of exclusive Resistance 2 features, in addition to a copy of Resistance 2 with specialized cover artwork.
For Los Angeles based fans, Insomniac Games will also open their doors to fans in a community day on Friday, November 7 in Burbank, CA.
